Frances Virginia “Ginger” Lee Autrey Mayeux passed on November 11, 2012. Her family would like to invite family and friends to join them for her final internment on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM, graveside in Greenoaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge, LA,. She was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Samuel Joseph Mayeux, Jr. and survived by her five children, Frances Ann Ditta-Mayeux Jackson, Mary Virginia Mayeux-Toombs, Margaret Kathleen Mayeux-Kimpel, Samuel Joseph Mayeux, III and Elijah Alexander Mayeux. Her grandchildren, Terri Farr-Higginbotham, Elijah Mayeux Jr., Rick Kimpel Jr., Caleb Kimpel, Michael Willem, Sean Willem, Benjamin Mayeux, Ryan Mayeux, and Lacey Mayeux will miss her phone calls, visits and wise advice. She is also survived by a foster child, numerous step-children and grandchildren, all of which she proudly called her own and welcomed without reservation to her family.
We will celebrate her life and love as we place her next to her husband and her grandmother, whom she regarded as her best friends and greatest supporters.
Her children ask in lieu of flowers, donations be given in her name to your favorite charity that promotes the care and keeping of nature.
