Pacita Temprosa Colanta

Pacita Baudejas Temprosa Colanta, MD, passed Sarurday morning: January 9, 2016, 11:47am. She was 80 years old. Survived by her son Romel Temprosa Colanta MD, PhD, daughter in law Wenilda Colanta, her grandchildren Timothy Colanta and Ryan Colanta. She is also survived by her brother Gener Temprosa and a sister Grace Temprosa Francisco as well as several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. She was most recently preceded by her mother Paz Valderrama Baudejas Temprosa, her brother Tomas Temprosa Jr and her loving husband Rodolfo Honorio Colanta. Dr Colanta graduated from the University of Santo Tomas Medical School and practiced Medicine first as an OB/GYN in Manila and later Internal Medicine, Hematology/Oncology in New Jersey. She practiced Medicine for over 51 years. It was only a fall at her office in May 2012 that forced Dr Colanta into retirement. She spent the balance of her years caring for her husband, who suffered a stroke in Nov 2003 until his passing in August 2014. They moved to Florida in 2014 and she lived in Reunion, Florida until her passing. According to her wishes, she wants a service similar to her husband at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Celebration, Florida and afterwards cremation. She missed her medical practice, her patients and all her colleagues during her retirement. Details of her funeral and memorial are as follows

Funeral for Pacita Temprosa Colanta, MD, will take place Monday, January 18, 2016 at 1pm at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Celebration, Florida 1050 Celebration Ave, Celebration, FL 34747.

Because of the number of family and friends in New Jersey, there is will be a memorial service for both Rodolfo and Pacita Colanta at St. Henry's Church in Bayonne, NJ, on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016, 5 pm.
