You are so missed. A lot has gone on. You have more great grandchildren.  You would have loved them all.

Hey opa. I am doing good got all my teeth out. No more pain. Seeing all my doctors. In like 4 weeks me and my man are driving down to Florida to see chase and everyone. I am waiting for ssi court date. We transfer it to NY. My birthday is coming up. Going to be 30yrs old. Time goes by quick. I love you and miss you. Hope you are doing good up there. Boy it seems like yesterday that you grew tired and decided to rest. Chase still asks about you. You were such an impact on all our lives. He is doing great in school but baseball is not happening.  He got hit and is sacred. Heidi and all of us are well. Please look over Kayla..She has a long road ahead of her and she will need your guidance and love. Miss you lots and love you.

hey Dad its me it's almost your birthday so let me shout out happy birthday to you now cuz you know how I always get confused on the dates I'm spending a little time going back looking at all the messages that have been sent up to you. you sure we're loved by everyone. we sure do miss you down here your wisdom your strength and just your plain common sense I hope you're having fun up there with Lucas we sure do miss him down hereI know you're both happy up there watching down on us we are trying to make you both proud but its hard sometimes and we make mistakesI feel like nothing's the same with you gone well there's been alittle distance in the family. everyone seems to be going on with their lives which is exactly what you would have wanted so if you're up there looking down on us please send a ray of sunshine to all our hearts cuz I feel like sometimes our hearts are a little cloudy and we can't seem to break through to the sun. ok,  finally reading is starting to kick in..He read Dr Seuss to his teacher on Friday and of course got 2 star bursts...didn't miss a word..He still cries for you some nights.I try and comfort him but its hard when I miss you just as much as he does. Well will talk later..LOVE YOU Susan

Chases starts 1st grade on Monday and still really misses you.We all do.You would be so proud of him.Haven't been able to put him in baseball because of my hours but I am trying.I made that promise to you. Well have to go meet the teacher.Love you

Chased passed Kindergarten. On to 1st grade...He sure does miss you...sometimes I can't even calm him down. You 2 were so close. The 23rd is coming up. Will be a rough day. Feels like it was yesterday. A year went way to fast. Heidi has gotten a job. Doing something she likes. We are doing the best we can. It has not been easy since you left.

Well we are doing as well as expected.We all miss you so much.Chase asked to come see you.I will be waiting till he gets a little older.I am taking care of Mom and she takes great care of us.Chase is doing better in school and scored high on his tests.Smart kid. well dad it was 2 months yesterday and it feels like its just a big dream I still can't wrap my head around the fact that I'll never see you again. Dear Aunt Hilda And Family,
I'm so sorry to hear of Uncle Bobby's passing my family's thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.
I will always remember when you came to Grandama's house,there was never a time when Uncle Bobby wasn't smiling or making a joke.And how GREAT of a ball player he was from my Dad and his Brothers.

I'm glad you are in your final Resting spot Opa. It looked kinda comfy :) i found this coin today in a box i had, its date is the same as your retire date from the Military. I thought that was pretty cool. I'll keep that with all my keepsakes for you. Oma is holding up, but more than anything we are all trying to be strong for her bcuz any of us could only imagine how hard it really is for her. Today was harder than the days before. I got home & went thru all the awards you have Received & your articles in the papers. I knew you were amazing. :) i can definitely say that i am MORE than proud to be a grandchild of yours. I love you very much so. & cant express how much i miss you. I would love for you to be sitting here telling me about every single one of these awards & pictures & newspaper articles. You were one hell of a man! Opa i need your guidance, the past couple years havent been the way they should have been, some things you would be not so proud of. From here on i want you to guide me in the right path, help me through these times i am about to go through. Help me cross these bridges. Watch over cheyenne, for every step she takes. My dear friend,Susan,I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I know it hurts now, but take comfort knowing that you have an angel watching down on you, smiling. He has to be so proud of the generous, loving, energetic person you are. And even though he is not physically with you day to day, he will always be in your heart. Take the time to mourn, but remember to celebrate his life. He must have been an amazing man to have raised such an amazing woman. I love you and I miss you terribly. I can hardly wait to walk through the parks with you very soon. You and your family are in my prayers.

You are one of the greatest men i know opa. the life you lived was full of adventure, and full of family. If i ever needed advice, i knew i could get all i needed and them some from you. i will never forget our long talks and all the great stories you gave the honor of sharing with me. im glad i never outgrew your hugs, and i can only hope to one day fill your shoes, and live a life as full and giving as yours. as your grandson, i could not ask for a better grandfather. i love you opa, and i will see you when i get there.
