

Stephanie Lynn Seaman Girard, 49 of Celebration, Florida passed away December 30, 2010 following a six year battle with colon cancer. She was born February 19, 1961 in Santa Maria, California the daughter of Laurence and Barbara (Fuller) Seaman. After graduating from Merritt Island High School, she received her Bachelor of Music from the University of Florida, Master of Music from Louisiana State University (oboist with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra) and Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Florida. She was a registered Professional Landscape Architect in the State of Florida. She was a board member of the RAK Foundation of Celebration and was also a member of IATSE (United Scenic Artist Union, Local 829 of New York, New York, Delta Society for Working and Therapy Dogs of Tampa, Florida and La Societá di Limoncello di Italia of Florence, Italy. She was a member and Ordained Elder of Community Presbyterian Church of Celebration. Stephanie and her beloved Labradoodle, Jack, were a certified therapy dog team. Together, they visited hospitals, assisted living facilities, schools, and volunteered weekly at Give Kids the World. She was also very active with the American Cancer Society and her local Relay for Life events, and has spoken at numerous events to raise awareness of the ongoing fight against cancer. She was an Art Director and Set Designer in the film, television and theme park industries. Her film credits include, Dear John, Leatherheads, Ray, The Notebook, Ace Ventura III, Dukes of Hazzard, Dreamer, Any Given Sunday, Lonely Hearts, Flying Tigers, The Holy Man, Speed 2 – Cruise Control, My Fellow Americans, Gone Fishing’, Dead Presidents, Flora Plum, Tigerland, The Crew and Instinct. Her television credits include ER, HBO’s From the Earth to the Moon, Donna’s Day, Mortal Kombat Krusades and Love Thy Neighbor. She was active with Universal Studios Dubailand, Universal Studios Shanghai and Universal Studios Orlando with her work on The Simpson’s Ride, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Halloween Horror Nights, Grinchmas, City Walk Christmas, Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure. She is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Scott Girard of Celebration; brother, David Harradine of Santa Fe, New Mexico; sister, Lori Warren of Orlando, Florida; step-son, Scott Girard, Jr. of Orlando.
