Steven was much loved by everyone he met, on either side of the pond. Steven was well known for spending hours talking to people, who would then become a friend, and all have said of his loveable nature and kind and genuine spirit.
Steven grew up in a market town in rural England, and spent most of his life working hard in the family business, which was farming and trucking. He worked long hours and long days, but was always enthusiastic in his work.
Steven came into our lives 20years ago, after I lost my previous husband in a tragic accident, and we became friends, relying on one another for strength, exchanging stories about both our sad circumstances at that time. My son and I have been blessed to have had such a good person come into our lives at that time.
Friendship led to a union very strong, and so we were married in 1996, and he took very good care of my son and I, who was only 3yrs old when his father was killed in the accident.
It was after coming to Florida on our first holiday here, that he dreamed of one day living here, and I am so pleased and proud of him for realising his dream, albeit so short—just 2 years.
Not one to always display his feelings, he very much loved and missed his two daughters, Natalie and Lorraine, and his only granddaughter Holly.
Steven was so loved by everyone he came into contact with and will be missed by all those who knew him and especially his close family and friends who couldn’t have wished for a better man in their lives.
