Alfred Zettl

ZETTL, Alfred – Passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 3, 2011 at the age of 74 years. Alfred is survived by his cousins, Erika and Klaus Tops and their sons, Steve of Kitchener and the late Ralf Tops, Lydia Jaud and Wille Jost and Families in Germany, Ella and the late Alfred Kurtz and their children Marilyn, Randy, Linda and Eric and Families and Helen and the late Bill Zorad and Family, Helmut Kurtz and Family in Germany, Helga Unger and Family in Austria and Erna and Family in Germany. He is predeceased by his cousin, Alfred Zorad, formerly of Simcoe.

Alfred will be dearly missed by his best friend of over 60 years, Edward Mild (Frieda), by his many friends and neighbours on Dundas Ave., and at Tim Hortons and Coffee Time, where he was a familiar face.

Alfred will be fondly remembered as a cherished “Step Dad” to Andrea and Antonio Giovinazzo an da loving “Opa” to Ema and Noah.

Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. West, Kitchener, on Thursday from 10am to 12 noon. A funeral service celebrating Alfred’s life will follow at 12 o’clock in the funeral home chapel. Interment at Woodland Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre.
