Elaine Janet Schaus Reimer

Peacefully at her home on Saturday August 20, 2011, wife of the late Victor Reimer in her 81st year. Dear mother to Bill Reimer (Wayne Baker), Susan Maurer (Tim), and John Reimer all of Kitchener, Elaine will be lovingly remembered by her grand children; Shawn Reimer (Leeanne), Benjamin Maurer, and great grandson Ethan Reimer. Loving mother-in-law to Shirley Reimer (nee Boettger), she is survived by her sisters-in-law Dora Schaus, Mary Reimer, Annelise Reimer and Ruth Edwards. Predeceased by her parents Ralph and Olivia Schaus (nee Westfall) and by her brothers Donald and Paul Schaus. Elaine was a long time dedicated employee of the University of Waterloo in the Office for Research and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

The Reimer Family will receive friends at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King Street West, Kitchener on Friday from 7-9 p.m. Celebration of Life will be in the Ratz-Bechtel Family Center on Saturday at 12 noon followed by refreshments and a time of fond remembrances. Cremation has taken place, a private interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to Grand River Regional Cancer Center, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, the Mennonite Central Committee or Community Care Access Centre would be greatly appreciated.
