Evelyn Jean Johnson

Passed away at KW Grand River Hospital on Saturday September 24, 2011 at the age of 86. Loving mother and matriarch of our family. Children: Ian, Blair, Laird, Bonnie, and Heather, Grandchildren: Jennifer, Kyra, Jade, Taryen, Victor, Nathan, Charity and Brooklyn. Great-grandchildren: Erica and Brandon. Evelyn was the daughter of A. Basil Sornberger and A. Jean Milne Sornberger (predeceased) and sister to Isla Threndyle (predeceased);.Other family members are Heather Sperdakos, Georgina Tombros, Betty Labourd Johnson and Tim McCauley.Her varied careers include: Real Estate Sales and Investment Property Management; Swimming Instructor,Hair Stylist, Wheeling and Dealing and Antique Collector; She was a master at Bridge, loved playing cards and spending time with cat Maggie and dog Locus. Memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer’s Foundation; Interment at Parkview Cemetery on Tuesday Sept. 27 at 1 pm.
