

PAUTLER, Joy Elizabeth (nee Evans) – It is with sadness that her family announces Joy’s passing at St. Mary’s Hospital on May 4, 2011 after a brief illness at the age of 84. Joy is predeceased by her beloved husband Harry and her only son, Dale.
Joy is remembered as a special aunt and friend by Tracy Letson (Terry), Donna Cousineau (Don) and Sharon Eldred and is also survived by nieces Jill Nutbrown (Terry), Penny Walker, Sandra Heer, and Heather Baker (Ron) and nephews Jim Walker, Larry Evans and Robert Evans.
Grandmother to Stacey and Graeme Pautler.
One of 7 children, Joy is predeceased by her brothers, Douglas and Lyle, sisters Pearl, Dorothy, Grace and June, her parents Oscar and Elizabeth Evans, her nephew Mark and nieces Barbara and Marilyn.
Joy was a dignified lady whose home and family were her world. Never one to want to be away from home, her greatest adventure was her trip of a lifetime to Hawaii. Memories of that trip warmed her to the end of her days.
Joy’s family wishes to express their thanks to Fred Ziegler and Peggy Ross for their never-ending support and friendship and the doctors and nurses on the 7th floor at St. Mary’s Hospital for their compassion, kindness and patience.
Friends will be received at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. West on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place on Monday morning at 11 o’clock in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Katherine Edmonstone officiating. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
