Laurene Emma Lucas

Passed away peacefully on July 24, 2012 at the age of 91. Predeceased by her husband Floyd Robert in 1984. Loving mother of Alan, Grace Moogk (Doug), Ralph (Dianne) and Paul. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Jeffrey (Kathy) Moogk, Kevin (Amanda) Moogk, Duane (Katie) Moogk, Allison (Zack) Anstett, and Craig Lucas. Dear great grandmother of Owen, Aiden, Max, Colby and Ava. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Adeline Bindernagel, sister Alma (Chuck) Myers, brothers Gordon (Barb) Bindernagel, and Wilbert (Rose) Bindernagel as well as by special family friend Valerie Schultz. A lifetime member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Kitchener. Laurene volunteered for many years with Loaves and Fishes and was also a member of St. Matthews Ladies Quilters group. Special thanks to Margot at CCAC, all support workers throughout the years especially Glenda, Margot, Linda, Karin and Sheila and also to the staff at Columbia Forest Long Term Care. Donations may be made to St. Matthews Lutheran Church Golden Hours radio broadcast. Visitation will be at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W. Kitchener, Ontario N2G 1C7 on Thursday July 26, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service on Friday July 27, 2012 in the funeral home Chapel at 11 am. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
