Very sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Bank, my husband and myself live at 152 Donald St. and had the pleasure of having Lloyd as a neighbour. I was always amazed by his work ethics when taking care of his property even when his body was failing him Lloyd would be outside working away.There will be a big void on that large corner lot on Donald St. Kim and Willy Zehr

It's  comforting to think that Hughie (Elder) and Ernie (King) are playing music with Lloyd again.

So sorry to hear of your Father's passing.  As I was the drummer with the Main Streeters with Lloyd, Roly, & Wally for many years...and many miles travelled together during the Main Street Jamboree days, my Memories are all of good happy times and loads of laughs....Lloyd always brightened my Day and oh how he could play.....The Music in Heaven will now be richer by far. Greetings to the Bank Family!  Back when I was first on my own with my two young kids, we lived in the semi across the street from Grace and Lloyd.  This was about twenty years ago.  I remember them as great neighbours.  

There was always a friendly wave from your folks - and your dad was my greatest asset for a time.  I had a crummy old lawn mower that I had picked up for $20. and when he'd be sitting out and notice that it just was not going to start for me - then he'd amble across and get that old machine running for me.  He explained to me that oil needed to be added occasionally and then he'd take it home and work on it and it would be good for another 100 miles!  

I remember we had an old trailer in our driveway and I somehow locked myself out of it.  Within 10 minutes I was back into it retrieving the keys - he figured out which window he could open without destroying it and grabbed his ladder and in he went to open the door!  My hero!  

Many times I was over there just sitting out the front of their house with them and enjoying the evening.  I used to play violin (I'm from Monkton, ON) and knew some of his musician cronies.  He loved talking about his time with CKNX and the barn dance times.   He also talked about his kids and his grandkids.  He sure was a proud papa!  

When I saw in the Record this morning that he had passed on - I knew that I wanted to share a few examples of what it was like living on Donald Street with the Bank couple as my neighbours!  Very caring people!  I know they were watching over me and my kids and it felt good and safe there.
