Mr. Rae Allan Hobson

Rae Hobson passed away at 60 years old, on Thursday November 26th 2015 at Hospice Wellington, surrounded by his family. Beloved father to Rachel Stockdale (David Stockdale) & Joshua Hobson (Melanie Hobson). Predeceased by his parents, Harold & Rita Hobson, and eldest sister Carol Ann Heck. True friend and brother to Larry Hobson (Shirley Hobson), Luann Busch (Richard Busch), & Randy Hobson (Dianne Hobson). He will always be remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Rae was a dedicated entrepreneur, working in the field of information technology as a computer programmer. He always woke early in the morning, never made special effort to allow those around him more time to sleep, but this never impeded him from staying up late if necessary as well.

Rae loved his family and friends dearly, his work ethic and willingness to help those in need never tired. He was the highlight of any gathering, his laugh, so distinctive that his children would often navigate their way back to him, by pausing to listen for it. The void of his absence will be felt by many, but the fond memories, “Uncle Rae lectures” and colourful stories, will continue to live on in our hearts.

A memorial service will be held at the Kingsdale New Apostolic Church, at 162 Sixth Avenue, Kitchener on Saturday December 5th at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Wellington or NAC Foreign Missions.
