Veronica Ranisav Lazar

Surrounded by her husband and children Veronica gently passed into eternity to be with her Lord and Savior on April 19, 2012 at the age of 68. Left to celebrate her life and her love are her husband Vasilije, her children; Lavinica Strauss (Steve), Lydia Reese (Paul), Reuben Lazar (Sarah), grandchildren Matthew Strauss, Veronica Strauss, Andrew Reese, David Reese, Keziah Reese, Brittany Lazar, Zachary Lazar and siblings John Ranisav (Choo), Lidia Pasui (John) and Marta Heu (Stephen). Daughter of the late Vasilije and Anna, Ceica will also be missed by nephews and nieces who she loved and prayed for daily. Veronica’s life journey began in Yugoslavia where she was born. She and her husband Vasilije escaped to a refugee camp in Italy. They arrived with their two daughters in Canada where they settled in the same house for 46 years. They have been members of Benton Street Baptist Church for 45 years where they raised their two daughters and a son. A special thank you to Dr. Duncan Schwartz and to all the staff in UT3 at Freeport Site, Grand River Hospital, for the loving and tender professional care. Visitation is today, Saturday April 21 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W. Kitchener. Funeral Service will be on Sunday April 22 at Benton Street Baptist Church, 90 Benton St. Kitchener at 1:30 p.m. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Benton Street Baptist Church with much appreciation.
