Wilhelm "Willy" Boehnke

Boehnke, Wilhelm (Willy/Bill) (b. Bonkowski): At his residence with his entire family by his side, passed away calmly and peacefully in his 96th year. Survived by his son Heinz Boehnke, his grandchildren, Anna and husband Reza, Armin and wife Zoe, Alexander and Anita and partner Chris and his great grandchildren Grace Marianne and Flynn William. Cousin Emma Boehnke and in his declining age, companion for many years, Joanne Jadischke, sister-in-law Christel (Hans) Fennert, his nieces in Canada and Germany and a nephew in Canada. Predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years Marianne (Dorn), parents Gustav and Pauline (Krampitz) Bonkowski/Boehnke. Brothers Friederich and Frieda (Mielke) Bonkowski, Adolf and Veronika (Radminlki) Bankowski, August (d. 1901), Gustav (d.1897) and Emil (d.1897), sisters Alwine and Heinrich Zielke, Martha and Heinrich Lange and first husband Alexander Reinke, Alma & Richard Daase, Emilia (d.1913), Lidia (d.1906) , Amanda (d.1897) and Ernestine. In laws, Heinrich and Anna Frieda (Heintz) Dorn, brother-in-law Heinz Dorn and cousin-in-law Adolf Boehnke and many cousins in Germany and Canada. Visitation for family and friends will take place at Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, 51 Benton St. Kitchener on Thursday January 31, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A funeral service to celebrate Willy’s life will be held at Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 47 Sheldon Ave N. Kitchener on Friday February 1, 2013 at 1:30pm with Rev. Walter Hambrock officiating. Interment to follow in Woodland Cemetery.
