Agnes McGhee

Agnes McGhee, age 85, died Sunday, October 8, 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer's at Ridgeview Terrace. Agnes was born September 19, 1932 in Tennessee, the daughter of General Bunch and Mattie Goodman. Agnes loved reading the Bible and sharing the Good News with others. She was a strong woman. She was a wonderful mother. She loved her family dearly and worked most all her life as a Nurses Aid in Knoxville, Tennessee. She loved to play the guitar, crochet, refinish furniture, etc. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul McGhee; her oldest daughter, Elma; her brothers, Ledford, Claiborn, Clifford, and Ray and her sisters, Gladys, and May. She is survived by her children, Lonnie, Arnold, Verdia, Mattie, James, and Paula; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren, and special nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, with an 8:00pm service to follow. Graveside Services to be held Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 11:00am at Bookwalter United Methodist Church Cemetery, 4218 Central Avenue Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee.
