Although a lifelong resident of Knoxville, graduate of Rule High School, Alice joined Kyle in San Diego, CA for 4 years early in their marriage where he was stationed during the Korean conflict. After his discharge from the Navy, Kyle and Alice returned to Knoxville to resume the life that they had started. After attending Wallace Memorial Baptist Church, they were charter members of Cumberland Baptist Church where they raised their family and were extremely active for over 30 years. As senior adults, Kyle and Alice joined First Baptist Concord, where again they were very active participating in both ministry and senior social activities. Autumn Care Farragut became Alice's home where staff and many good friends became her loving community.
Her professional career involved administrative support for Plasti-line, Brookhaven Farms and the Norfolk Southern Railroad.
Alice's life was defined by her love and support for her family, church, friends and many faith-based organizations.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville J. and Martha Beckham; her husband of 68 years, Kyle A. Keck; siblings, Madeline Metts, Kenneth Beckham, Bruce Beckham, Everett Beckham, Clarence Beckham, Ed Beckham and Orville J. Beckham, Jr.; and mother-in-law, Pearl Sharp Keck Cox.
Alice is survived by her children, Kyla (J. Ashley Burell) Keck, Mark (Amy) Keck; grandchildren, Andrea (Andrew) Turner, Rebekah Cossaboom (Parker), Adam (Meghan) Keck; great-grandchildren, Connor Keck, Lena Keck, Holden Keck and Maya Turner; and many other extended family members.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6:30 PM on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Berry Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919. Family and friends will gather in Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery for an 11:00 AM graveside service on Thursday, November 30, 2023.
