Allen was born in Lenoir City, Tennessee and attended Greenback High School before enlisting in the U.S Army in 1959. After an honorable discharge, Allen worked for ALCOA until his retirement as a supervisor in 1996. Allen was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents Austin and Geneva Cruze and brother, Douglas Cruze.
Allen is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Cruze; son, Brian Cruze (wife, Jessica), and sister, Vivian Hiltz.
The family would like to thank the staff at UT Medical Center Hospice Services, especially Heather Thacker, RN, for their compassion, care, and support during Allen’s final weeks and days.
Allen will be interred at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920 on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 10am ET, Dr. Hollie Miller officiating.
