Alyssia Marie Brown, age 39, passed away unexpectedly on December 15, 2025, at her home. While her time on this earth was far too short, Alyssia’s life was marked by a generous heart, faithful devotion to the Lord, and a lasting impact on all who knew her.
She was born on November 19, 1986, in Vineland, New Jersey, to Gwendolyn Sue Brown and Donald Paul Brown. From the very beginning, Alyssia was remarkably bright and perceptive, understanding and navigating the world well beyond her years. She had a natural gift for details and problem-solving, becoming her mom’s trusted keeper of important things. She had a natural instinct to care for others, lovingly looking after her younger siblings. Raised in the church, Alyssia developed a strong foundation in her faith that would help guide her through life.
Alyssia’s faith was central to who she was. She loved Jesus boldly and lived with a passion for following His direction for her life. She felt called to follow where the Lord was leading her, even when it meant moving often and stepping into the unknown. Her life had many seasons of travel and change, which she embraced with trust in the Lord. Wherever she went, Alyssia formed deep and lasting friendships, turning new places into home and strangers into family.
Alyssia was a friend to all, known for her extraordinary gift for making people feel seen, valued, and deeply loved. Through late-night phone calls, meaningful conversations, spontaneous trips, or simply showing up when someone needed her most, Alyssia gave freely of herself. A natural protector and encourager, she became a “big sister” and “second mom” to many, offering her loyalty, strength, and unwavering love. Even in seasons when life was difficult, she never hesitated to encourage others or remind them of their worth.
Alyssia is survived by her loving family, including her mother and siblings, extended family, and countless dear friends who became family through years of shared life, love, and unwavering devotion.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Paul Brown, and her grandparents, Barbara Brown and Paul Brown, who now welcome her home in heaven.
While we are devastated by her loss, we find comfort in knowing Alyssia is now resting in perfect peace, fully embraced by the presence of the Lord she loved so deeply. Heaven gained a beautiful soul, and this world lost a light that will never be forgotten. Alyssia will be loved forever, missed always, and carried in our hearts until we meet again.
A celebration of life will be held December 20, 2025 at 1:30pm EST at 1416 Breda Drive, Knoxville, TN 37918.
