Hairrell, Arthur Benton, age 73 of Knoxville, originally from Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 at Fort Sanders Hospital. Benton was a 32nd degree Mason, U. S. Army Veteran, previous State Highway Patrolman, a county court clerk in Lawrence County in the 60’s, an avid farmer and loved children and family. Preceded in death by parents; Mary and Roy Hairrell. Benton is survived by wife of 46 years; Clara (Harwell) Hairrell, children; Jayme and (Becky) Hairrell, Billy and (Dawn) Hairrell and Tonya Burchfield, grandchildren; the loves of his life, Corey, Lou and Peytan. Brothers and sister-in-law; Wayne and Jane, Bras, Mike and Dwight, sisters; JoAnne Baggett, Ghent (Tommy) Deese, Ametra Bailey and numerous nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews, special friends, the Ledbetter coffee drinkers. The family will receive friends Monday, October 17, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home with the memorial service to follow with Rev. Battle A. Beasley officiating.
