

Bea Bolton passed away peacefully on July 18, 2012, in Seymour, TN after a short illness. Bea was born on January 19, 1927 in Knoxville, TN to Colin Ewart and Edna Anne Bolton. Bea grew up in the city of Knoxville and attended Knoxville High School, graduating in 1945. She attended Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City where she studied religion. After graduation she attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas receiving a Master’s Degree in Religious Education. Bea then returned to Knoxville where she worked as an administrative assistant at Island Home Baptist Church and Emmanuel Baptist Church. Bea then moved to Cross City, FL where she taught school for several years before moving to Wilmington, NC. In Wilmington, Bea taught mathematics in Hannover County High School. She enjoyed fishing, spending time with family in Augusta, Ga and Seymour, TN, and visits to the Smokey Mountains and North Carolina beaches. Bea was very active in her church in Wilmington and her passion for Christ led her in her missionary work all over the world. After retirement, Bea moved to Seymour, TN to live with her sister Ann & family. Bea was preceded in death by her parents Colin and Edna Anne Bolton, brother Robert Bolton, sister Louise and husband Hubert Hufham, and brother-in-law Charles Crowder. Bea is survived by her sister Katherine Eva and husband Dr. James Earl Williams, her sister Ann Marie Crowder, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are through the Berry Funeral Home and a graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Lynnhurst cemetery.
