

Woodruff, Benjamin Lee “Benji”, age 38, of South Knoxville, passed away August 23, 2013. Benji graduated from Seymour Community Christian School and Pellissippi State College with an Associates Degree in graphic design. He acquired his graphics and computer skills through playing games and learning about computers with his father. He attended RIO East Church in Maryville with his family. Ben was employed as a graphic designer at Ole Smokey Tennessee Moonshine, and was previously employed at United Cutlery and Power Systems. Preceded in death by grandfather Gerald E. Woodruff. He was a loving husband, father, son and a friend to many. He is survived by wife of 11 years: Sarah Elizabeth “Beth” Woodruff; son: Ethan Lee Woodruff; daughter: Kathleen Grace Woodruff; father: Dan and wife Penny Woodruff; mother: Esther Wilson; step-father: Dewayne Wilson; brother: Aaron Wilson and wife Rebecca; sister: Joy Buchanan and husband Jason; father and mother-in-law: James and Victoria McCarthy; brother-in-law: Samuel McCarthy; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway. The funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at RIO East Church, 1412 East Broadway, Maryville, TN with Rev. Dale Buchanan officiating.
