Billy "Bill" Edward Valentine , age 82, of Knoxville, TN was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. He was a faithful member and trustee of Forest Grove Freewill Baptist Church. Bill loved to work in his garden, spend time with his family and watch the Atlanta Braves. He retired from Valley Electric Company of Knoxville. He is preceded in death by parents, Alex and Grace Valentine; brothers, Edgar, Fred, Roy, Oscar, and Richard Valentine; brothers-in-law, Carlisle Bales, Arthur Dodson, A.J. Newcomb, and Robert King. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Barbara: daughter, Marilyn (Milburn) Harmon; son, Gary (Linda) Valentine; grandchildren, Kerri (Gabriel) Archer, Jason (Aimee) Harmon, Lance (Krista) Harmon, Christopher (Rachel) Krantz; great-grandchildren, Tucker and Rylee Harmon; sisters, Estalee Newcomb, Bobbie King, and Patsy (Homer) King; sisters-in-law, Beulah Bales, Betty Dodson, Rebecca Valentine; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Family will receive friends on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, with service to follow at Berry Funeral Home; 3704 Chapman Hwy at 7:00 pm. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 11:00 am at Forest Grove Freewill Baptist Church, with Rev. Jamey Davis officiating.
