Carl Holland Sands

Carl Holland Sands, age 77, of Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2025. A faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Carl touched the lives of everyone he met with his cheerful spirit and endless happiness. He had a gift for loving unconditionally and possessed a patience that seemed to know no bounds. Carl found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially listening to oldies music and attending the Special Friends Summer Camp in Newport, TN, where his warm presence brought smiles to so many.

Carl was welcomed home at the gates of eternity by his beloved parents, Lee and Beatrice Sands; brother, Phillip Sands; sister, Judy Petree.

He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory, including his brothers, Stanley and Jimmy Sands; sister, Lillie Walker; niece, Charity Sands; nephews, Chucky Walker, Randy Reece, and Joshua Sands.

Family and friends will gather to honor the memory of Carl on, Friday, October 3, 2025, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 2500 Maryville Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920, with a visitation from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00pm. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4500 Woodlawn Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920 for the committal service. Rev. Kirby Ownby to officiate the services.
