

She was a woman of diverse talents and boundless creativity, known for her accomplishments as a seamstress, gardener, woodworker, and craftsperson. Carol's love of music was expressed through her participation in numerous choirs and ensembles throughout her life. Her warm and caring nature touched all who knew her, from family and friends to neighbors and beloved pets. She found great joy in nurturing family relationships and caring for her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her father, Luther Johnson, and sister-in-law, Jina Johnson. Carol is survived by her loving husband, Greg Jaynes; her mother, Evelyn Johnson; her brother Jeff Johnson and nephews Daniel and Nathan Johnson; and her sister Susan Arru and brother-in-law Louie Arru. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

A receiving of friends and family for Carol will be held Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at West Lonsdale Baptist Church, 2720 Dayton St, Knoxville, TN, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM.
