With sad hearts and wonderful memories we announce the passing of Carolyn JoAnn Wood who was called home on October 7, 2015 to be with the Lord. She was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church where she displayed a strong and abiding faith in God. She loved her church family as they laughed, cried, prayed, and of course worshiped together. She retired from the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development. One of her pleasures in life was being able to travel; from Canada to Florida, then to the west coast, (living in California and Oregon for a few years) visiting several major cities, and seeing some of the awesome and spell-binding wonders of this great land. She has now begun her best and final trip yet. Left to cherish her memories are her husband John, whom walked together for 61 happy years; daughter, Gwen Wood; son, Randall Wood. Graveside services will be held at Berry Highland South Cemetery on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 11:00 am.
