

Jack Cardwell was born on June 20, 1942, to Lee and Lula Cardwell in Sevier County, Tennessee. A graduate of Sevier County High School, Jack retired after many years working at Alcoa Aluminum Company. He was also an active member of Forest Grove Church.
In 1967, Jack met Connie, and together they shared 54 wonderful years of marriage. Jack was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family deeply and was always proud of his children and grandchildren.
Jack appreciated life’s simple pleasures. He was a passionate beekeeper and avid farmer, finding great joy in “watching things grow.” He loved the outdoors, spending much of his free time fishing, hunting, and enjoying nature.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jim Cardwell and Rex Cardwell, and his sisters, Kate Jackson and Wanda Rogers.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Connie Cardwell; his children, Anita (Kevin) Biggs and Matt (Kristin) Cardwell; and his grandchildren, Ashley (Carter) Biggs-Holland, Chloe Biggs, Rachel Cardwell, and Jack Cardwell. He is also survived by his siblings, Geneva Cardwell Sarten, Bill (Nancy) Cardwell, and Mary Lou Cardwell Blalock.
Family and friends will gather to honor Jack on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Forest Grove Church, 7220 Forest Grove Church Rd, Knoxville, TN 37920, with a visitation from 1:00pm to 2:00pm and a funeral service to follow at 2:00pm. A graveside service will immediately follow at Forest Grove Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to The Gideons at www.gideons.org.
