Charles Boone

Boone, Charles W., age 82, of Walland, TN, and a native of Monroe County, Alabama, passed away at home Monday, September 20, 2010, with his family by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Corean Boone and sister, Maxine Carroll. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Nellie Boone; son and daughter-in-law, Michael L. and Deborah Boone; two grandchildren, Michele and Paul Farris, Charity Boone and Robby Fugate; 4 great-grandchildren, Shelby, Jackson and Sam Farris and Harli Belle Fugate; brother and sister-in-law, John and Carolyn Boone; sister and brother-in-law, Charmun and Vic Zellers; and other family and friends. Before his health failed he was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of Prospect Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 23, 2010, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Hwy. A chapel service will follow at 7:00 p.m., Pastor Jimmy Webb and Pastor Jeff Hickman officiating. Family and friends will meet Friday, September 24, 2010 at 10:45 a.m., at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Alcoa TN, for an 11:00 a.m. entombment.
