Claudette LaFevor Terry

Claudette LaFevor Terry, age 87, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed on Saturday, August 12, 2023. She was a founding member of Asbury Church of Christ and retired from Knox County school system. Claudette was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Terry Jr; sons, Robert W. Terry III and James LaFevor Terry; parents, James and Almeda LaFevor; sister, Betty Garland; grandson, Benjamin Robert Combs.Claudette is survived by daughters, Teresa (Frank) Combs and Charlotte (David) Giles; sister, Janis (Randall) Maynard; 8 grandchildren, Jessica Combs, Lori (Tyler) Lawson, Jamie (Ben) Taylor, Jennifer (Michael) Marohn, Sarah (Jarrett) Snyder, Taylor (Layla) Giles, Bailey (Elliott) Wilson; great-grandchildren, Abbie (Caleb) Eslinger, Katlin (Dalton) Linkes, Hunter Horsley, Isaac and Anna Taylor, Lilly Combs, Nora Marohn, Wesley Lawson, Creek Taylor and Jasper Snyder; great-great-grandchild, Ember Links; daughters-in-law, Kaye Clark Terry and Sharon Cagle Terry. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Teenage Christian Camp 8500 Harold Duncan Way, Knoxville, TN 37931. The family will receive friends Monday August 14, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at Berry Funeral Home 3704 Chapman Hwy. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Minister Mark Brackney will officiate.
