Cora Jean Emert

Cora Jean Emert age 95, went to be with her heavenly Father, on March 17, 2023 at NHC Nursing Home in Oak Ridge. She was a charter member of Carpenter's Chapel. Preceded by the love of her life, husband James M. Emert; parents, Hubert and Stella Moneymaker; sisters, Doris Lee and Faye Lee; children, Carl (Bud) Proctor and Brenda Martin. Left to cherish her memory, daughters Charolette Hinshaw (Tom), Kathy Tharp (David), Debra Tonkinson (Jack) and Cindy Carpenter (Rick Johnson); daughter-in-law, Kathy Proctor; sister, Mary Jones (Cecil), several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Special friend, Roger Crawford. Jean’s favorite scripture was “If you want friends, Show yourself friendly.” She lived it to the fullest and was a friend to everyone who knew her. Family will receive friends Friday, March 24, 2023 in Weaver’s Chapel from 5:00-7:00 pm with service to follow. Bishop Seth London officiating.
