Born and raised in Knoxville, Danny lived a life rooted in faith, family, and kindness. A devoted member of Immanuel Baptist Church, he faithfully served for many years as a Sunday School Teacher and as Head of the Deacons. His quiet strength, compassion, and steadfast faith touched countless lives within the church and beyond.
After 35 years of dedicated service, he retired from Oak Ridge National Lab, where he worked as an engineering designer. He took great pride in his work and cherished the friendships he built throughout his career.
Danny was happiest when spending time outdoors or with his family especially his beloved grandchildren, who affectionately called him “Papaw” and “Pepaw.” He loved fishing, camping, and family gatherings where laughter filled the air. Danny also found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved taking long drives with his wife to admire the beauty of the fall leaves, and relaxing on the beach with those he loved most.
Danny will be remembered for his deep love for his family, his unwavering faith, and his gentle, giving spirit. His legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
