Darlene McNeil-Abbott

Linda (Darlene) McNeil-Abbott, age 68, of Knoxville, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 23, 2023. She was a lifelong member of Mt. Avenue Church of God for 40 years. Darlene loved to sing for the Lord and play her guitar, she loved the outdoors and walking in the woods and spending time with her husband of 37 years. Darlene was preceded in death by parents, Florence and Charles Saveley; brother, Freddie Schnicke. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Paul Abbott; brother, Tom (Connie) Schnicke; sister, Anne Dunford; special sister-in-law, Loretta Freeman; special niece Libby Schnicke; special friends, Brenda Leek, Reva Collins, Dave (Jessica) Woodward; several nieces and nephews and church family also survive. Family and friends will meet Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Pollard Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service, Rev. Gary Stiles officiating. Condolences may be offered at www.mccartyevergreen.com.
