Debra Sue Marlitt

Debra Sue Marlitt, age 68, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. She was a 1984 graduate of the University of Georgia Pharmacy College. Debra retired as a Doctor of Pharmacy after 32 years of service. She enjoyed sewing and creating her own clothing and draperies. Debra was a strong independent woman much of her life. She thoroughly enjoyed gardening and grew a stunning red rose bush at her home. Growing vegetables and various flowers brought joy to her life. You could always find Debra in the kitchen cooking amazing meals from her freshly harvested vegetables. Her and Garrye traveled all over and made wonderful memories. Traveling to the Bahamas, Washington D.C., camping trips were some of her favorite trips throughout life. Debra had a strong love for her animals, two cats, Daisy and Jasper, one dog, Jake, and a beautiful cockatiel, Romeo. She would burst out laughing when Romeo the cockatiel would call the cats by saying, "here kitty kitty".

She is survived by husband of 33 years, Garrye Marlitt; sister, Diane (Tommie) Still; niece, Lorilee Still Wood, and nephew, Shannon Still, of Georgia. Debra will be missed by Garrye's sisters, nieces and nephews, of New York.

In honor of Debra's wishes a private service was held Thursday, July 8, 2021.
