Barkley, Della Mae –age 90 of Knoxville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at NHC-Knoxville. Retired after 40 years of service from both The Corner and Tom’s Foods. Della was a wonderful and loving mother; a fun-loving, generous, and unselfish friend; loved everybody and everybody loved her. “Salty Dog” and “Big Fat Mama” will be sung in heaven right along with Amazing Grace. Preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters. Survived by children Brenda, Tilton and Vic; 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and too many friends to mention. The family will receive friends, Thursday, October 21st from 6:00-8:00 pm at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery, Friday, October 22nd at 11:00 am for a graveside service, Roger Purkey officiating.
