Denver Odell Atkins

Denver Odell Atkins, age 84, of New Market, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. Denver was self-employed and owned Atkins Trucking Company with his brother Carson Atkins, years later he started another company with his son John, J&DA. He was a longtime member and deacon of New Liberty Baptist Church. Denver was an avid farmer, and loved spending his time with his family and friends.

Preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Margie Atkins; parents, William and Jessie Atkins; step-mother, Cleo Atkins; brothers: Morris, Curtis, Carson, Donald, and Doug; sisters: Evelyn, Dorothy, and Helen.

He leaves behind his daughter, Denna (Jim Hack) Hornby; son, John (Michelle) Atkins; daughter, Rebecca (Keith Cannon) Smith; grandchildren: Luke Hornby, Sarah Atkins, Tyler and Kaitlyn Smith, Aurora and Dakota Atkins; honorary grandchildren: Courtney Collins and Joshua Collins; brothers, Jerry and David; and sister, Betty.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Eastview Memorial Gardens.
