Dewey C. Wilkinson

Dewey C. Wilkinson age 81 of Knoxville, passed away Friday, April 26, 2019. He retired from Rohm & Haas after 40 years of service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved watching his grandson drag race. Preceded in death by his wife, Betty Wilkinson; father, William Wilkinson; mother, Rose Whited; mother and father-in-law, Mona and Claude Cooke; sisters-in-law, Carol Dykes and Mary Alice Cooke; brothers-in-law, Darrell Cooke and Robert Cox; son-in-law, David Smith. Survived by children, Jan (Paul) Waldroop, Pat Smith, Mike (Terri) Woods, Lisa Joffe and Wes (Casey) Wilkinson; grandchildren, Carrie (Nate) Hardin, Missy (Brianne) Waldroop, Ian (Michelle) Woods, Kirsten (Erik) Cole, Timmy (Lexi) Fox and Danielle Joffe; great-grandchildren, Braelyn Hardin and Ava Howell; sisters, Charlotte, Nancy, Lynda, Lou, Sue and Phyllis; brother, Bill; brother and sister-in-law, Clifford and Cynthia Cooke; special dog, Tiny. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday at Weaver Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 pm Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery for a 1 pm graveside service.
