

CLAYTON, DOROTHY (DOT) SHARRETT – age 71 of Knoxville was called home peacefully at sunrise on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She attended Ridgedale Baptist Church, was a graduate of West High School, and worked for Knoxville Utilities Board and Clayton Organizations. Preceded in death by father, Earl Lilbourn Sharrett and mother Ruth Elsie Wagner Sharrett. Dot is survived by her loving husband of 53 years B. Joe Clayton, daughter; Deborah Justus and husband Randy, sons; Richard Clayton and loving friend Victoria Blankenship, Mark Clayton and loving friend, Ashley Gilbert. Granddaughters, Jessica and Christina Clayton, and Britney Justus, sister Mary Tice, sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Don Cameron, and brother Stanley (Jim) Sharrett. Family will receive friends Monday from 5-8 pm at Ridgedale Baptist Church with the service to follow at 8 pm. Pastor Mark McGill officiating. Family and friends will meet Tuesday at 10 am at Weaver Funeral Home to proceed to Highland Memorial Cemetery for an 11:30 am interment.
