Douglas Keith Sexton

Doug Sexton, 48 , finished the race and went home to heaven on July 17, 2016. Doug was an amazing husband and father of six children. Doug was a member of Cornerstone Church of Knoxville and a passionate follower of Jesus Christ. He was employed by Wallace Hardware of Morristown for twenty plus years. His contagious joy and big smile will be missed by all that knew him.

Doug was preceded in death by his grandparents Oswell and Rema Sexton of Madisonville, TN, Ralph and Ruby Wrye of Miami, Fl.

Doug is survived by his wife of twenty-five years Alison and six children: Grant, Ethan, Trevor, Jillian, Spencer and Leah. His parents, O.S. and Agnes Sexton. In-laws Jim and Anna Shastid. Brother; Greg (Connie) Sexton. Sisters; Suzanne(Max) Cook, Sharon(Justin) Wood. Several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and many friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 4:30 to 7:30 pm with a funeral service to follow at 7:30pm at Cornerstone Church of Knoxville, 1250 Heritage Lake Blvd. Pastor Bill Kittrell will be officiating.

Burial will be at Berry Highland West Cemetery on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 10:00am. Family and friends will gather at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made for the Sexton family to Cornerstone Church of Knoxville.
