Ward, Edith (Edie) L. Galyon, age 78, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2012. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. Edie was preceded in death by parents; Sidney and Mary Smith; husbands; Ernest Galyon and Herbert Ward; son, Samuel David Ward; granddaughter, Shazelle Mynatt; brother, Charles Smith. She is survived by daughters and husbands: Gayal and Kenneth Emert, Jr.; Frankie and Stephen (Denny) Mynatt and special grandson, Chad Mynatt; sister and husband, Mary Ann and Bill Guinn; nieces: Karen and Rachel; son, Gene Ward. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM in the Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:30 with Rev. Tom Caylor officiating.
