Ed was a longtime and devoted member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where his faith guided every aspect of his life. He was a Godly man known for his humility, kindness, and quiet service to others. Ed gave generously of his time, volunteering and serving others passionately.
Professionally, Ed had a lifelong fascination with the Space Program and was proud of his work with NASA and Boeing. He later retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) as a design engineer, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and excellence.
An outdoorsman at heart, Ed found joy in God’s creation. He loved hiking, hunting, fishing, and camping, often sharing those passions with his family and friends. Whether in the woods, by the water, or under the stars, he was most at peace outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lucy Bellinghausen, and his sister, Barbara Kottwitz.
