Edward W. Riggins

Riggins, Ed W., age 76, of Knoxville TN, was taken home to our Heavenly Father during the morning of March 30, 2011. Ed was born in Chattanooga, TN on August 28, 1934. He served as a member of the United States Air Force from 1955 until 1959, working as a Radar Technician and holding the rank of Staff Sgt. After serving our country, Ed worked as a Radar Technician for the FAA at McGhee Tyson Airport from 1961 until he retired in 1989. In Heaven, Ed will be reunited with his devoted wife of 47 years, Rebecca Evelyn Riggins. The love shared between Evelyn and Ed is clearly evident to those who were lucky enough to know them, as it took only 15 days after her passing for Ed to join his beloved. They were truly soul mates and best friends, who will spend eternity together in the Kingdom of Heaven. Their memory will now be carried on by their loving and loyal friends, Phyllis and Eddie Mancke, Elly and Johnny Carr, Sonja, Ashley and Riley Smith, Cleve and Dorothy Francoeur, Yvonne Boling and many more. The family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, on Monday, April 4, 2011 from 6-8pm.
