

Emily Kirkpatrick Jackson, age of 89, the prettiest girl in South Knoxville, joined her husband, Bob Jackson on Friday, October 28, 2016. She was a 1945 graduate of Young High School and attended UT where she was a Kappa Delta. In 1949 she married the love of her life, Bob. Emily loved gardening, knitting, playing Bridge and most of all her family. Emily was an avid golfer. She was smart, creative and a tough cookie. She was also a huge UT fan and she was fun-loving and loved by all. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Ruth Kirkpatrick; brother, Jack Kirkpatrick and her loving husband Bob. Survivors include, daughters, Rebecca Williams (Alan) and Amy J. Christopher; son, Buddy Jackson; grandchildren, Dr. Kevin Gallaher ( Alyson), Jessica Conner (Ryan), Matthew Gallaher, Kirk Jackson (Kim), Jonathan Christopher and Emily Emmert (Matthew); 7 great grandchildren; brother, Max Kirkpatrick (Peggy) and the best present she ever received, her dog and friend, Teddy. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm in the Berry Funeral Home Chapel, 3704 Chapman Highway, with a celebration of life memorial service to follow at 7:00 pm.
