ERNEST MILTON WILLIS, SR. of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013. He was an avid fisherman. Preceded in death by his father, Gainum Willis, brothers; Joe and Clifford Willis, nephew; Evan Thompson. Survived by mother, Willadean Willis, former wife; Mary Willis, son; Ernest Willis, Jr., brothers; Levi Willis (Margaret), Robert Willis (Faye), Sandy Willis (Kris) and Geoffrey Willis sisters; Sarah Jones, Rose Thompson (William), Susan James, Elaine Driver (Spruell), Michelle Docker (Glen), Tanya Fielden (Ernie), Evelyn Baker, Valery McConnell and Cynthia Fears;special friend; Jacquline Prater (Danny), brother-in-law; Tommy Tompkins; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special thanks to Covenant Hospice nurses, Nancy and Tabitha and the Maintenance Department of the City of Knoxville.The family would also like to extend a special appreciation to Michelle, Glen, Kris and Mary for the care given to Ernest during his illness. Family will receive friends Monday, April 1, 2013 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at Weaver Funeral Home, 5815 Western Ave., with chapel service to follow at 12:00 pm.
