Faye Louise Raby

8/1/1930 – 12/15/2023

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Faye Louise Raby joined her Savior surrounded by family on December 15, 2023. She was born in Knoxville and married her life-long soulmate, William Lyman Raby on April 10, 1950 in Knoxville. She was preceded in death by her husband William, parents Robert & Velma Harrell, son Gary L. Raby, sons-in-law, Ronnie Headrick and Johnny Dalton as well as 7 siblings. She is survived by four children Linda Headrick, Nancy Dalton, Donna (Dwayne) Smartt and Debra (Fred) Kimber. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren Penny Faulkner, Christy Norton, Shawn Sampson, Nikki Johnson, Brittany Maxwell, Nick Kimber, Nicole Kimber, Jordan Smartt and Devan Kimber, as well as 17 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; brother, Bob Harrell;sister, Carolyn Roland. Faye was an active member of Atlantic Avenue Baptist Church. The family would like to extend a special appreciation to Miss Faye’s friends and caregivers at Smokey Mountain Hospice and Autumn Care Karns. Family will receive friends Monday from 5-7 pm at Weaver’s Chapel with the service to follow. Family and friends will meet Tuesday 11:45 am at Bookwalter Cemetery for a 12 pm interment.
