

Frances Large Doyle Rader, 96, of Knoxville, TN went home to be with the Lord leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She loved her family and friends dearly and enjoyed having them over to her home for birthday parties. Her hobbies included China painting and reading. Fran retired from the Christenberry Clinic. Spending time with her Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority sisters, was something she looked forward too. When she was a member of Vestal United Methodist Church, Fran was Ordained as a laity speaker, and did over fifty eulogies for her family and friends. She was a graduate of Young High School.
She was preceded in passing by her parents, Charles and Ethel Large; husband, I.W. “Ike” Rader; Dawson Doyle, father of Tim and Tom; sister, Polly Johnson; brothers, Charles and Jake Large; children, Janet Linster French, Danny Doyle, Bill Rader.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Tom and Tim Doyle; sisters, Shirley Roberts Ryan, Betty Phifer; daughter Jan R. (Tommy) Miller; son, Mark (Linda) Rader; daughter-in-law, Sandra Rader; son-in-law, Greg French; grandchildren, Jayme French, Jason French, David (Katie) Doyle, Adam Doyle, Kristyn Rader McMahan, and Matthew Rader; great-grandchildren, Julia and Owen Woods, A.J. and Jackson Doyle, Knox McMahan, and several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Family and friends will gather at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920, on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 for a receiving of friends from 5:00PM to 7:00PM with a funeral service to follow at 7:00PM. Family and friends will meet at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Maryville Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920, for a committal service on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 for at 1:00PM, services to be officiated by Dr. George Hollander. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in memory of Frances to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Immanuel Baptist Church, 306 Ogle Ave, Knoxville, TN 37920.
