Henry was the oldest member at Green Acres Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for 40 plus years; a Veteran in the US Army and a Barber for more than 60 years.
Preceded in death by his parents, Henry David Shook and Hildia J. Shook and sister, Mary Lois Shook, all of Corryton.
Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Anna Ruth Shook; sister-in-law, Syble Williams; brother-in-law, Carl Richard Williams; nieces and nephews, Karen (Randall) Suffridge and Vanessa (Robert) Watkins. Henry leaves behind a host of great nieces, great nephews and cousins. A very special thank you to Fred Daniels and wife, Betty for their friendship and kindness over the years.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 26, 2021 from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm at Green Acres Baptist Church, 10144 Old Rutledge Pike, Mascot, Tennessee 37806 with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm. Rev. Tim Muncey and Rev. Leonard Goins will be officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 pm on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Caledonia Cemetery, 7817 North Ruggles Ferry Pike, Knoxville for a 2:00 pm Interment.
