Inez "Kat" Kathleen (Knott) Gladston

Inez "Kat" Gladston, age 86, of Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully at home on February 11, 2022. She loved spending time with family, friends and coworkers. Kat spent her time working at Kroger for the last 27 plus years and taking care of her four dogs and four cats. Kat never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. She was an avid gardener. Loved putting solar lights everywhere in her flower beds and listening to the sounds of her many wind chimes. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Kat is preceded in death by husband Melvin L. Gladston Jr.; parents Mattie R. Knott and Coleman L. Knott and four siblings. She is survived by children Debra Justice, David Gladston, Jerry Gladston and Diane Gardner; grandchildren Kevin Stewart, Chasity Eggleston, Jessica Blankenbeckler and Kaylin Hopkins; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Family and friends will meet at Weaver Funeral Home on Thursday, February 17, 2022, from 12pm-2pm for a Visitation with a Funeral Service to follow at 2pm. An Interment Service will be held at Brimer Cemetery at 3pm, on Thursday, February 17, 2022.
