Irene Hayes, age 92 of Knoxville, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017. She is preceded in death by husband of 53 years, Edward Everett Hayes. She is survived by daughters, Martha and husband Samuel Knight, and Marilyn Wolfenbarger; grandchildren, Janet and husband John Kampfer of Austin, Texas, Aaron and wife Susan Presnell of Nashville, and Lori Wolfenbarger; great-grandchildren, Alana Chapman, Zane Kampfer, Aidan Kampfer. The family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Family and friends will meet on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 1:45 PM for a 2:00 PM Graveside Service at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Rev.Dana Fachman will officiate.
