Jackie Wombles

He was born May 12, 1954 to the late Earnest and Georgia Smith Wombles in Middlesborough, KY. Jackie was a very loving and devoted husband, daddy, papaw, brother, uncle and friend.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Jerry, Larry, Gary, Don, Dallas, Danny, William and sister Peggy Rouse who raised him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Lillian Miracle Wombles; two sons, Earnest (Lolicia) of Knoxville, TN and Justin (Erica) of Kodak, TN; Special (the apple of his eye) Grandchildren; Iris, Lily, Coraline and Deion; Special brother, Ernie (Anna); Special “sisters” Melinda (Jackie) Gilbert, Shirley Rouse; Special nieces, Donna (Tony) Webb, Lorraine Melton, Victoria Wombles; Special nephews, David Wombles, Timmy (Patty) Wombles and Bucky Rouse; Special sisters-in-law, Loretta Wallace of Terre Haute, IN, Helen Poppe of Middlesborough, KY and Gloria Miracle of Pineville, KY; Special brothers-in-law, Wayne Miracle of Manchester, KY and Arthur (Gail) Miracle of Knoxville, TN.; Special Sidekick "Pocket", in addition to a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends who are left to cherish his memories and will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the parlors of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville, Tn. The family request that all guests wear masks and observe social distancing. A Private Graveside Service will be held at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Berry Rd. Knoxville, TN on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 2:00pm with Pastor Kermit McPeek officiating. Pallbearers will be Earnest Wombles, Justin Wombles, Ernie Wombles, David Wombles, Timmy Wombles, Jackie Gilbert. Honorary Pallbearers: Arthur Miracle, Wayne Miracle.
