

Blankenbeckler, Jim (Jimmy) passed away at home after a very long illness, on December 9, 2014. He was preceded in death by parents Lloyd and Ellen Blankenbeckler; sisters, Clara Jo Love and Ann Roberts, all of Maryville, TN.
Jim was a long-time employee of Weaver Funeral Home and Aurora Casket Company. He was a member of West Haven Baptist Church and Fellowship Men’s Sunday School class.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a 50 year member of Beaver Ridge Masonic Lodge #366.
Jim is survived by wife, Betty Ann; son, David Blankenbeckler; daughter, Beth, and son-in-law John Austin; grandchildren, Erin Hammer, Jackson and Blair Blankenbeckler, Emily and Joshua Austin. Also, sisters-in-law, Cynthia Werry and Pansy Hankins, and brother-in-law, Jack Jeffries, all of Florida. Niece, Susan Johnson, of Maryville, TN and several nieces and nephews in Florida.
Receiving of friends will be at Weaver Funeral Home, Friday, December 12, 2014, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., followed immediately by a Celebration of Life led by Fred Crawford. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Alcoa Highway, Saturday, December 13 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to West Haven Baptist Church (5651 Matlock Road, Knoxville, TN 37921). The family would like to express gratitude to Covenant Hospice, his special friend and nurse, Raquel Sankey, and his primary care doctor, William Burkhart and his staff.
