Tim thrived in all things outdoors. He was an avid mountain and road biker, never turning down the opportunity to “send it” or hit the trail. As a runner, Tim competed in many half marathons and even an ultramarathon; his biggest competitor was himself, and he was always aiming to improve his time, his strength, and his stamina. He loved to fish and kayak, often at the same time. Tim found peace on the water, and he could disappear into the quiet flow often for hours on end. Never one to shy away from a trail, Tim hiked and explored with his wife and best good boy, Rigby, aka Biscuit. He loved animals, especially dogs, and was never without man’s best friend by his side. Tim had two mantras by which he lived his life:
1. Any day on a bike, a trail, or the water was a good day, and
2. Everyone was welcome to a seat at the table. If there wasn’t room, then he needed a bigger table.
He was a very principled man who consistently listened to others and made decisions with careful forethought and respect. When you first met Tim, he was very quiet and reserved, but once he tested your mettle, you were in for good. When he trusted you, he showed you both his vulnerability and his comedic timing as Tim deeply loved to laugh. He was quick-witted and had a certain sass (read sarcasm) about him. You could count on him to take the joke almost too far almost every time.
He fiercely loved his friends and family, and his loyalty to those he loved was unmatched. His mother, Dorothy “Dot” Gover, preceded him in death in addition to Myla, Gracie Lou, Jasper, and Frank.
Tim is survived by his wife and family Kari Eubanks, Rigby, Dilly Bean, Jackson Cash, Tucker, and Chester. He is also survived by his father, Lee Eubanks; sister, Tina Philpot; brother, Rick Eubanks, and several nieces and nephews, Dewauna Ricks, Austin Brown, Mary Hannah Kirsch, and Cody Eubanks. Tim Eubanks was beloved. He will be missed.
Family and friends will gather to honor the life and legacy of Tim at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, for a receiving of friends from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
